Camino Santiago Norte

Our hotel is located right on the Camino del Norte trail, just steps away from the Pilgrims' Hostel in Soto de Luiña, in Asturias’ coastal county of Cudillero.

Our village is small but steeped in rich Camino history and surrounded by emblematic monuments.

The 1713 Pilgrims' Hospital, now the Rectory, is a Baroque building dating back to the 18th century, a true reflection of Asturias’ traditional country manor homes. Its surprising interior is decorated with murals painted in tempera.

The 1712 Church of Santa María received the Europa Nostra European Heritage award for architectural preservation and is a prized example of Asturian Baroque architecture. This church dates back to the 18th century and was built on what was once a hermitage or chapel, which in turn had been built upon the site of a natural spring. Inside you will find a Baroque altarpiece attributed to José Bernardo de Mena.

Our surroundings are full of tradition and culture which connect the past and present of the Camino.

Hospitality with history

We are proud to be a family-run hotel. Our goal is to make you feel at home in the comfort of quality accommodation. But if you are also a pilgrim, nothing could be more pleasing for Pepe, as manager and head of the family, than sharing his Camino experience with you.

Pepe is an active, fundamental part of the Camino legacy:

He was a volunteer hosteler from 1999 to 2017.

He’s in charge of signposting the Camino from Muros del Nalón to Cadavedo, to ensure that pilgrims find their way.

He shares his knowledge and passion for the route through his Facebook page, "Cuidando y Marcando el Camino de Pepe".
